Washington D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) engaged in discussions with the REACHH-Family Resource Center in Hinton, West Virginia, and the executives at Montgomery General Hospital to address pertinent issues and allocate funding for community projects and healthcare challenges.

At the REACHH-Family Resource Center, Congresswoman Miller deliberated on the utilization of the $650,000 in secured funding for upcoming projects, emphasizing the importance of supporting families in need. She stated, "I was thrilled to meet with the REACHH-Family Resource Center to discuss how the $650,000 I secured in funding will help continue to support families in need. These centers are vital in our communities and provide safety and stability to many children throughout the state. I'm happy to support this organization and provide them with the resources to grow their reach here in West Virginia."

Subsequently, Congresswoman Miller visited Montgomery General Hospital in Montgomery, West Virginia, to address the ongoing challenges faced by rural hospitals. Reflecting on her discussions with hospital department heads, she expressed gratitude for the care provided to numerous patients and underscored the importance of necessary infrastructure upgrades. She affirmed, "I am grateful for the lifesaving care that Montgomery General Hospital is providing to thousands of patients and the significance they hold to Montgomery’s community. Hearing about the patient transportation and infrastructure upgrades necessary for the hospital's success was in line with what I hear from a lot of my rural hospitals – and something I am committed to helping improve through my work in Congress. I will continue to work through my post on the Ways and Means Health Subcommittee to make sure that rural hospitals have the resources they need to provide quality care to our most vulnerable patients."
